General Questions

  You can find Blacklight Festival on the beautiful grounds of Sint-Bernardusabdij in Hemiksem.

The navigation address is Nijverheidsstraat , 2620 Hemiksem. Follow the signing when driving to the festival.

The festival is accessible from 16 with guardian and from 18 you can come alone. Don’t take the risk and bring your ID to the festival.

 

  Smoking is allowed, but please think about the environment. Don’t throw your cigarettes on the ground, but make sure that they are extinguished and throw them in a trashcan or (portable) ashtray.

 

 

Violence and intimidating behaviour will not be tolerated. This also includes discrimination, sexual intimidation or wearing provocative clothing (for example football shirts or/and full colours). Stealing or destroying of the properties of Blacklight Festival or other partners is forbidden. Also climbing the fences and/or other installations or infrastructures will not be tolerated.

 

It is not allowed to bring your own drinks to the festival.

Lost anything at the festival?

Everything you lost can be retrieved at the Event Office on the festival site.

 

There will be an adequate security staff at the festival site. There is also a professional first aid stand clearly present at the festival. These people are standby at the festival for you and your friends’ safety. So make sure to listen to any instructions given by the security staff, the first aid team and the organisation.

If you need to take prescribed medication due to health problems, you need to be in possession of a valid medical certificate.  Only with a valid medical certificate, you are allowed to take these medications with you. Please contact us a few weeks beforehand at info@blacklightfestival.be and send a medical statement or prescription (matching your ID) if necessary. You’ll receive a confirmation from our side which you can show at the main entrance.

Blacklight Festival will provide a limited number of lockers at the entrance of the festival. These can be rented for a small fee. (10€ = 5€ guarantee and € 5 for the use of the locker)
Protect your valuables and clothing without having to worry about losing them or theft.

The minimum age to come party at Blacklight Festival is 16.

Digital photo cameras and/or video cameras are allowed on the festival site, with the exception of professional equipment. This equipment is only allowed with a press accreditation.

We ask you to make as many photos and videos as you can and post these on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, … and use the following hashtags:

It is strictly forbidden to urinate in public. If caught urinating in public, you will be removed from the festival grounds. There are toilets on site, do use them!

It is prohibited to distribute flyers or tape posters in the surroundings of the festival or at the festival itself.
Promotion at Blacklight Festival is possible, but permission must be requested

Transport

Bezoekers komende van Antwerpen via de N148 worden geleid naar:

1. Parking 6, Metalen Galler
o Het Parking ticket bevat de route van Parking 6 naar het Festivalterrein:
Via de “dijk”, Scheldeboord naar de Nijverheidsstraat.
2. Parking 7, Aldi Hemiksem
o Bruikbaar na sluiting van de winkel om 19 uur.

B. Bezoekers komende van Boom-Brussel via de N148 worden geleid naar:
1. Parking 4, ‘t Gildehuis
2. Parking 5, AD Delhaize
3. Parking 8, Station Hemiksem
4. Parking 9, Sporthal

  Think very carefully before getting behind the wheel of a vehicle going to or leaving the festival.

Be smart and responsible on the roads. Your life, and your friends lives are in your hands.

There are 2  bike parkings available.

 Kiss & Ride is located on the hill on the Beckaert site, Heuvelstraat.

Cashless

Blacklight Festival 2019 will be using RFID-enabled wristbands and cashless payment technology to enhance your festival-going experience! You can upgrade your ticket and this will be exchanged to your personal wristband at the entrance. It will also be used as your digital wallet to make purchases at the festival – all with a simple tap of your wristband!

This means you don’t have to worry about walking around the festival with your wallet or fumbling for change; instead, enjoy fast, convenient and secure transactions at all food vendors, bars and merchandise tents on-site using your high-tech, RFID-enabled wristband. Cashless is the only method of payment accepted on-site using ‘Shells’ as the official currency of Blacklight Festival

TICKETS

Yes, tickets will still be sold at the door.
If you want to be sure that you can buy tickets, then come to the festival on time.
We have a limit on the number of visitors that we will strictly follow.
